Hygeia Street was a private residential project in Port Melbourne. The client was a young married couple who required additional space for another family member to move into the household. The design parameters required an entirely separate living space as well as a new master bedroom with WIR and Ensuite in the main building for the client.
Several design concepts were considered before the final design was signed-off, this was due to ensuring all ResCode requirements were met as well as ensuring the design met the client’s needs, both practically and aesthetically.
The final design featured a semi-detached granny flat with seperate access, with the new master bedroom, WIR and Ensuite located on the first floor directly above the granny flat. The first floor bathroom was renovated as well as the downstairs laundry.
